On 12th July I had the honour of piping at Aras an Uachtarain for the President’s annual 12th of July party. The weather was beautiful and it was great to play alongside Pat Treacy, Liam O’Flynn, Emmanuel Lawler, Conal Duffy and members of the RTE Symphony Orchestra. It was an extra special occasion being Mary McAleese’s last such celebration as President.
